Been a hot summer. Hope all is well with you! And thanks for reading this if you are, I sincerely appreciate it.
The biggest news I have to share is that I have been cast in my first paid professional theatrical production called "Constantinople" by the amazing Elly Award winning playwright Aram Kouyoumdjian of the Vista Players. It has been a wonderful journey learning about Armenian culture and history and channeling this passionate young feminist I play named Zabelle. We open next week! For tickets, go to: http://www.itsmyseat.com/constantinople/. I am ecstatic for this experience and will cherish my first long run of a show! It is a compelling story with relatable characters and a strong cast. Come on out :) I assure you, it's worth it!!!!
I also have been in the process of filming the webseries "Mercredi's Monde" by Jill Tenney and it has been a blast! It is currently in post production. I cannot even express how grateful I am to have been the hilarious character with such an awesome cast and crew and creator. I will share it when released for sure!!!! You won't want to miss this. Too funny :) Here are a couple stills and BTS pics:
In other news, my screenwriting is picking back up again and the editing of new reels are underway. I also was in my first paid commercial with lines this summer and the feature "You" by Linton Semage is in the running at the Jaffna International Film Festival! I'll share updates on this stuff when they are available.
On a personal level, I have been really establishing healthy boundaries and feel I have finally finished this long-awaited process of stepping into my individuality and power. I have been learning more and more spiritually too. The biggest change is I'm actually speaking up for myself now! Woo! haha pretty sad I didn't for my whole life till now, but hey...at least I learned, right? I also visited my family in Missouri in August and that was really nice. I am working on videos for Cherry Blossom Spirituality too...stay tuned. And I binge-watched the Netflix show Dark and whoa...I so highly recommend it, I absolutely loved everything about it and find it so inspiring.
Many blessings and so much awesomeness to you awesome people!
